VPX 3U Conduction cooled QorIQ T2080 SBC
Overview
The Versatile Performance Switching (VPX) based quad core signal processing module is the latest 3U processor compliant with VPX™ standard. It integrates the high-performance features of NXP’s Power Architecture® Quad-core T2080 processor, equipped with AltiVec™ technology and advanced I/O capabilities delivering optimal performance at low power consumption. Designed for a space-constraint applications, this module is a rugged, high-performance, and highly integrated small form factor Single Board Computer (SBC). Its powerful processing capabilities, along with a wide range of I/O options ensure that it is capable of meeting the demands of even the most challenging application requirements.
The VPX module format, defined by the VITA 46 specifications and the associated VITA 48 Ruggedized Enhanced Design Implementation (REDI), was created to meet the critical need for open-architecture modules that support high-speed serial interconnect technology, which is becoming increasingly prevalent in high-performance computing. Developed by leading providers of military commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) modules, the VPX standard addresses the challenges of high-speed serial interconnects
