Overview
VPX3CC_5_CH_MIL1553B_DIOs is a 3U VPX IO module, whichcaters to various Avionics communication interfaces like MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC429 and industry-standard interfaces (SPI, UART, I2Cand Discrete Input- outputs). This module interacts with an external host VPX processor via PCIe backbone architecture. The VPX3CC_5_CH_MIL1553B_DIOs module supports up to 5 channels of MIL-STD-1553B interface, 1 channel of ARINC429 transmitter and 2 receivers. It further supports up to 4 LVTTL Inputs and 4 LVTTL ouputs which can be configured to function as a UART or Discrete GPIO. In addition, the module offers a 1PPS input and output.
The VPX3CC_5_CH_MIL1553B_DIOs module has SPI based IO expansion which is capable of providing 35 discrete inputs and 10 discrete outputs. The VPX3CC_5_CH_MIL1553B_DIOs module offers 512Mbit SPI NOR Flash for user storage. It hosts a temperature sensor, a voltage health monitor and an elapsed time indicator for health monitoring purpose. The module is powered via VPX backplane power rails of +5V and +3.3VDC. It comes with conduction cooled enclosure.
